GOLF for GOOD!

EAC's Aloha Golf Classic will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 at North Hills Country Club in Manhasset. EAC is proud to honor Michael Adams, President of the Nassau County Sheriff Officers Association. The day will begin with golf, followed by a fun-filled Tropical Paradise Evening where guests will enjoy fabulous food and entertainment. All proceeds will support EAC's programs, which provide a broad array of educational, vocational, counseling and criminal justice services. The organization's 67 programs protect children, create opportunities for seniors, promote healthy families and communities, empower people through employment and education, and provide alternatives for people with substance abuse and mental health needs. EAC effectively serves more than 65,000 people annually.

HONOREE Michael Adams has been the President of the Nassau County Sheriff Officer's Association since it's inception in 1993. The organization is a certified union for all Nassau County Correction Officers and Supervisory ranks. The ShOA deals with numerous legal aspects of the profession and engages in civic, cultural, educational, and political activities that are in the best interest of the membership as well as the community.

He began his career in the Sheriff's Department in 1982, and holds the rank of Captain. He served as an Academy Instructor, is currently the Deputy Commander of the Sheriffs Emergency Response Team (SERT), and is the Commanding Officer of the Precision Marksman Unit. Mr. Adams supports numerous local charities and lives in Rockville Centre with his wife Janet and son Michael.
