All of us are affected by the thousands of homeless men, women and children who are living on the streets, in dangerous housing or in shelters.  For students whose lives have been directly affected by homelessness, the cost of a college education can be a heavy financial burden. The Helen Martin Scholarship gives persons who have experienced homelessness and who are pursuing higher education the opportunity for some relief from that financial burden.

The Long Island Coalition for the Homeless is pleased to once again announce that two Helen Martin Scholarships are available for students who have experienced homelessness. The Scholarships will be presented during the 25th Annual Keys for the Homeless Conference on October 25, 2013.

****APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY JUNE 20, 2013 AT 12 NOON***
