Karma411 Recieves Seasons of Change Award

The Health and Welfare Council honored Karma411 with their Seasons of Change Award at their 60th Anniversary Celebration. The celebration was held at FOUR Food Studio & Cocktail Salon and was sponosored by SCM, Winthrop University Hospital, and the Horace and Amy Hagedorn Long Island Fund. The Institute for Not-for- Profit Management at Columbia Business School were also awarded at the dinner.

Karma411 Offers New Campaign Type

In response to feedback from the Nonprofit Adminstrators Karma411 has created an Awareness or Friendraising campaign. Awareness campaigns have no monetary goal, but rather a goal of number of supporters. Members can still leave a one-line message of support, just like a fundraising campaign. The first awareness campaign was created for the North Shore Boys and Girls Club.

Karma411 Attends Herstory Benefit Luncheon

Herstory Writers Workshop hosted a fundraising campaign on Karma411 for their live benefit luncheon. The campaign has set many new precidents. First, the campign brought on its own corporate sponsor, Bridgehampton National Bank, to match $1000 of the campaigns fundraising. Also, Herstory decide to sell tickets and other regalia at the actual event, but wanted to take credit cards as payment as well. Therefore Herstory teamed up with Karma411 and had laptops at their event and were able to raise over $18,000.

Karma411 reaches 150 Nonprofits

Karma411 now has 150 nonprofits enrolled on the site. Successful new nonprofits include the University of Chicago, Long Island Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Congressional District Programs.
