Fact Check Results

A few days after ordering a Fact Check, we will e-mail you the results. If we find a fact is accurate, then we will change the status of that fact to "Verified" and display its new status on Karma411. Any other finding (such as a failure to verify a fact) will NOT result in a change of status. Even if the status does not change, if you ordered the Fact Check, then you will always know the results. The history of all your Fact checks are stored in "My History" > "Fact Check History."

How Fact Checking Works

We make repeated attempts to contact the information source indicated by the fact's associated URL. If we fail to contact the source, then you won't be charged for the Fact Check. The following table shows you the possible results from ordering a fact check.

Helpful Tip:

If you change your profile information after a fact has been verified, you will lose the fact's verified status. Simply re-order the Fact Check to regain the status.
