About Us

After over ten years of growing FatWire Software from a startup to a successful enterprise software company with over 200 employees and sales in nine countries around the world, co-founders Mark Fasciano and John Murcott became supporters of several local nonprofits.

They quickly learned two lessons, 1) raising money for a cause is difficult and expensive, and 2) that friends help friends first, and institutions second.

They asked the question, "what if technology could enable organizations to leverage the personal networks of their most active supporters, allowing the supporter, rather than the institution, to reach out to new donors?"

Karma411 was born a year later.

Launched in 2008, Karma411 provides nonprofits state-of-the-art online campaign tools with no upfront risk. Within a year, over 200 nonprofits flocked to the system, running hundreds of successful campaigns.

Mark and John assembled an outstanding team of advisors and directors including experts from the business, philanthropy, and nonprofit worlds including Russ Artzt, co-founder and Vice-Chairman of CA, Russell Byers, trustee of the RK Mellon Foundation, and Ted Hart, past-President of e-Philanthropy and author of "People to People Fundraising" and four other leading books on online fundraising.

Today Karma provides the most complete suite of online, viral campaigns including fundraising, friend-raising, event, walkathon, and social commitment campaigns.
